About

From the site to the decision table

I am Nasser Valinezhad, a civil engineer specialising in geotechnics.

My father's words, and later the field I studied, gave me a habit that is still with me: before I look at what is being built, I think about what lies beneath it. At first that view was only about the soil. Gradually I understood that every project has a foundation that cannot be seen: the logic of its decisions, the soundness of its choices, and the strength on which everything later stands. If that foundation is weak, no beautiful façade can save it.

I learned this on construction sites: in projects that began with excavation and ended with the last finishing detail, in the mistakes I saw and sometimes made myself, in the challenges I came through, and in conversations with people who each taught me something. Every project still has a new lesson, and I am still a student of this profession.

Along the way, together with my brother, I founded Beton Tanideh Iranian (BTI), the first producer of centrifugally spun prestressed concrete piles in Iran. A real foundation, of exactly the kind I had always been thinking about.

Today I have brought the same view to the decision table. As a project development advisor, I sit beside developers and owners so the key decisions of a project, from choosing the design team to construction methods and materials, are made right and on time. But I do not walk this path alone. A team of experienced specialists is beside me: architects, engineers and technical consultants, and people who understand sales and brand. Every decision we put to a client comes out of conversation within this team.

We listen to the client, translate what we hear into the language of designers and builders, and stay with the project until what is on paper is built the way it should be.

About

What I stand by

  • Honesty before the contract

I tell the truth, even when it costs me the contract.

  • Timely decisions

Advice that comes late no longer saves money. Before every point of no return, the options are on the table.

  • Technical and financial, together

I weigh every design and construction choice by its effect on cost, time and the project's final value.

  • Buildable design, not just beautiful

Design must be fully detailed, with structure, MEP and architecture coordinated.

  • Respect for the client's capital and time

Every proposal must create more value than it costs.
